Ferry to Playa Naranjo is not working “at full speed”

October 15, 2018 by Staff News Writer

From Sunday, and until further notice, the cooperative that provides passenger and vehicle ferry service to Playa Naranjo, will operate during special hours.

The offer is two departures from Barrio El Carmen, in Puntarenas; at 6:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. In Playa Naranjo, Lepanto direction, the boat will leave at 8 o’clock in the morning and at 7 o’clock at night.

It should be noted that this service is the one that connects Puntearas with Lepanto in the Nicoya Peninsula.

The passage over the bridge in Cablo Blanco in Lepanto will be enabled soon, so when the weather and security conditions allow it, people (on foot) will be transferred from one side of the bridge the other.

Coonatramar made the announcement on its social networks. The service was cut in half.

In the case of Paquera, the service is being provided normally since October 6th.
