Earthquake shook Jacó and neighboring towns

An earthquake of moderate intensity shook the beaches of Jacó and neighboring towns on Thursday night.

According to the report of the National Seismological Network (RSN), the tremor was 3.9 degrees on the Ritcher scale and occurred 45 kilometers south of Jacó, Garabito.

On the other hand, the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Costa Rica (OVSICORI) reports that it was a 3-degree earthquake perceived in Jacó, Parrita, Turrubares, Bijagual and San José.
