Authorities identified foreigner who drowned in Corozalito Beach

The Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) identified the man who was found dead this Saturday at 9:13 a.m. at Corozalito Beach in Nicoya.

The press office of the entity reported the body was 23-year-old Brazilian Alexandre Barboza Cardoso.

Although in the Red Cross headquarters indicated that the man was missing since last week, the OIJ explained that it really from January 31st. Barboza was with a group of friends, when he was dragged by the current and drowned. Apparently, the South American was surfing when he was last seen.

This Saturday, the body was found in an area where there are stones on the beach.
