Exchange rate is the highest since late April

May 18, 2016 by Staff News Writer

According to Marco Chaves, Cathay Financial bank manager, this behavior is the result of a decrease in the level of BCCR’s intervention in recent weeks.

In contrast to the current situation, the exchange rate could fall during the second half of June, when it’s almost time to pay taxes.

This reduction, however, is considered a seasonality that can be anticipated by people and businesses, since it’s connected to the fiscal cycle.
