Exchange rate keeps going up

After the downward behavior during the beginning of Holy Week, the exchange rate increased this Tuesday for the second consecutive day in the Foreign Currency Market (Monex).

At 11.30 am, the exchange rate was around ¢603, about ¢7 above the close of the previous week.

The fluctuation of the dollar is due to three factors: the payment of debts in dollars that were generated in recent days and interest cancellations, as well as obligations of the country,”

said economist Daniel Sucar.

On Monday, the Central Bank intervened with the offer of dollars with $2 million, 15% of the total traded
