Nicaraguan arrested for trying to extract gold

A Nicaraguan man was arrested on Monday while trying to extract gold from Crucitas, in the northern part of Costa Rica.

According to the Border Police and the Public Force, the man surnamed Rodriguez was in a private estate doing mining work.

The foreigner had a water extractor pump in order to extract mining material, which was confiscated by the authorities.
