Traveling to New York will be cheaper!

June 28, 2019 by Staff News Writer

Low-cost airline JetBlue announced that it will offer the route from New York to San José as of November 1st.

This flight will be permanent; leaving this American city on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 6.25 pm (local time), to get to Juan Santamaría at 10.50 pm.

The return trip will depart from Santamaría at 11:59 pm and arrive at John F. Kennedy Airport at 6:09 am (local time).

The route will be operated on an Airbus A320 that has capacity for 150 passengers, so we are adding 23,400 new seats from our main market: the United States,”

said Maria Amalia Revelo, Minister of Tourism.

The JetBlue announcement joins that of American Airlines, which will also travel to and from New York, from November 21st, permanently, from Santamaría, and from December 21st from Liberia.
