Spectacular killer whale sighting in Quepos

August 19, 2019 by Staff News Writer

A video posted on social networks shows several killer whales about 20 miles from Quepos.

The recording was shared by the Facebook profile Mary’s Rentals, however the moment was captured by the lens of Jaffers Pérez.

According to Maryfe Ramírez, who owns Mary’s Rentals, a company providing tourist services in Manuel Antonio, the incredible experience was lived in The Sharkwater boat, dedicated to marine conservation.

I am friends with the crew of a marine conservation boat that is in the country called The Sharkwater. They do not do whale watching tours. It is something much more complex and beautiful. It is an incredible energy and development of activities that goes much further: marine conservation. They were heading towards Cocos Island when they saw the whales,”

said Ramírez.
