Stranded Ecuadoreans left Coco Island

June 9, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The five Ecuadorians who were stranded on the island of Coco, managed to get out on their own last Monday, tired of waiting for help from a government institution to continue their way to Manabi, Ecuador.

The men left the island with a GPS, food, water and basic supplies to finish their journey. They also signed a disclaimer for the island’s rangers.
