State visit: Honduras comes to Costa Rica

June 20, 2016 by Staff News Writer

A year ago, President Luis Guillermo Solís visited Honduras. Now, it’s Honduran President’s turn to visit Costa Rica. According to Solís, Juan Orlando Hernández

“will only visit Costa Rica. We had arranged a state visit, equivalent to mine  in Honduras.”

Although a longer stay was planned, it won’t be possible. The First Lady was also expected to come, but she won’t be part of this visit.

“We will have an open agenda, but we will mainly focus on three topics: firstly, the Central American integration, since mister Orlando is the pro tempore president of The Central American Integration System (SICA by its name in Spanish); secondly, bilateral issues; thirdly, topics related to global issues,”

confirmed the president.

This meeting has been arranged by the foreign affairs ministers from both countries. Solís will come with Honduran ministers of Economy, Science and Technology, Foreign Trade, Foreign Affairs and Public Security.
