10 UK companies will participate in the BTM fair

June 30, 2016 by Staff News Writer

According to Pedro Beirute, PROCOMER’s general manager, ten UK companies from the food and agriculture sectors confirmed their participation in the international BTM fair held every September.

The announcement came after the Mayor of the Corporation from London City, Jeffrey Mountevans, visited president Luis Guillermo Solís last Tuesday.

Last year, 3,365 business meetings were held between 397 Costa Rican companies and 306 entrepreneurs from 36 countries of Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, North America, South and Central America.

Beirute highlighted the fact that Britain is a strategic partner for Costa Rica, which exports $ 180 million a year, mostly in agricultural products.

The UK ambassador, on the other hand, said that they have the financial capacity and the possibility of achieving public-private partnerships between British and Costa Rican businesses.
