According to the latest epidemiological report by the Ministry of Health, in just one week Aedes aegypti mosquitoes infected 588 Costa Ricans with dengue.

With these new cases, the total number of dengue victims in the country rose to 9,732, from 9,144 last week.

As for Zika cases, the Health Ministry reported 186 cases, 27 more than last week, including 10 pregnant women.

The report further notes that Chikungunya cases rose from 1597 to 1627 in the same period.
