Bridge in Guatuso in will closed on August 3rd

August 2, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The passage through the bridge in Guatuso, Desamparados will close from Wednesday August 3rd at 6 a.m. due to the construction of the ramps that allow access to the bridge.

It will reopen on August 5th at 5 in the morning.

Silvia Gómez, an engineer of the National Roads Authority, pointed out that these concrete structures are built on site, which requires time for the material to get the right stiffness.

The closure at this point forces users to take alternative routes, such as Salitrillos, for 47 hours,”

said the engineer, who added that they suggested to the bus company to consider transship, because the pedestrian crossing of this bridge will not be closed.

The structure has a cost of ₡ 402,000,000 and will be completed in September. In addition, the closure will be repeated from August, 8th until August 10th.
