Two people had to be assisted by the Red Cross on Wednesday after being attacked by bees in the province of Alajuela.
The incident occurred at around 1 p.m. on the north side of Palmares park.
The Fire Department was called to control the situation and ruled out more victims.
A man and a woman had to be take to San Rafael de Alajuela hospital, because they were in critical conditions as a result of the attack.
Bee attacks are part of the most common issues served by firefighters. In 2016, there have been about 38 daily alerts of the presence of these insects.
