TSE: identification cards will have some modifications

August 18, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Next month, the Supreme Electoral Court of Costa Risa (TSE) will promote some changes in the identification cards.

These modifications will be focused on the material used to create the document.

Luis Antonio Sobrado, TSE president, stated that citizens’ personal information will be printed with a laser on the back of the certificate, which will be made of polycarbonate.

Among the changes, it is included the photograph size, which will be larger and printed in color in the upper right corner. This I.D. number will be at the bottom.

The National Coat of Arms will be in the center of the card.

Holographic cover will not be used and if ultraviolet light is applied, an image of the TSE building will be observed.

Current identificacion cards or those that are not about to expire, do not need to be changed immediately.
