Solís: “I’m concerned about Donald Trump’s chance to win”

August 24, 2016 by Staff News Writer

For the first time, President of Costa Rica Luis Guillermo Solis expressed his opinion regarding a possible victory of Donald Trump, Republican Party candidate in the American presidential elections.

Solís, after leaving a meeting with President Barack Obama, told that he was very concerned because Donald Trump has a chance to win the elections on November 8th. However, he refused to say any other words.

The president said that an eventual victory of the billionaire businessman would not have to change the relations between both countries.

On Monday, Costa Rica and the US signed a millionaire cooperation plan to improve security. That includes the donation of two C-145 cargo planes, maritime surveillance vessels, equipment to detect migrants without legal documents, among others.
