Four hospitals are performing surgeries during weekends and evenings

San Juan de Dios Hospital, San Vicente de Paul Hospital in Heredia, Escalante Pradilla Hospital and Ophthalmological Clinic in San José plan to perform 34,730 diagnostic and surgical procedures on weekends and evenings in the coming months.

As part of this effort, the Eye Clinic established a program of evening surgeries to assist 2,500 patients from different hospitals.

In addition, San Vicente de Paul Hospital has a similar project, whose goal is to perform surgeries in different medical specialties including gynecology, otolaryngology, urology, peripheral vascular and ophthalmology, among others.

Escalante Pradilla Hospital, in Pérez Zeledón, intends to operate 585 patients in the South Zone with ear, throat and larynx conditions.

On the other hand, San Juan de Dios Hospital is going to perform 24,256 medical interventions in general surgery, as well as in medical specialties such as otolaryngology, urology, surgical oncology, orthopedics and some diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound and bone densitometry.
