Costa Rica has the potential to export goods to the Colombian market

September 1, 2016 by Staff News Writer

During an activity organized by the Chamber of Exporters of Costa Rica (CADEXCO), it was determined that companies perceived marketing opportunities in Colombia for products from Costa Rican food industry, information technology (IT) and digital animation.

CADEXCO president Laura Bonilla declared that the country has the ability to develop sauces and other sugar-free, cholesterol-free and gluten-free products for the Colombian market.

Jesús Ignacio García Valencia, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia, said that Costa Rica should explore that market to enhance business activities. In addition, he thinks the government should do the same with the diplomatic relations.

The Free Trade Agreement is not only limited to trade in goods, it also includes other areas such as services, electronic commerce and the international trade in services,”

stated Ambassador García Valencia.
