Man arrested in Escazú for aggravated procuring

September 12, 2016 by Staff News Writer

A 59 -year-old man was arrested in Escazú under the suspicion of aggravated procuring.

According to the Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ), the place worked as a hotel and bar despite not having the permits for these purposes.

Apparently, customers came to the place to drink alcohol. Then a group of women, both adults and minors, offered sexual services for 70,000 colones in cash. A portion of the price belonged to the man and the rest of the money belonged to the woman who offered the service.

7 women were found: 2 of them were waitresses and the other five offered sexual services. There was a 16-year-old Nicaraguan girl, one of the waitresses’ daughters and 4 girls aged 5 to 13 years old.
