Paperwork to start a ferry service between Costa Rica and El Salvador continues

A few months ago, a ferry service between Puerto Caldera in Costa Rica and Puerto La Unión in El Salvador was announced. Such news generated great expectation due to the economic and enviromental benefits both countries will have.

When asked about the situation, director of the Port Maritime Division from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT) Jorge Mora declared that the administration is still very interested in the ferry service between both ports and they are confident of the economic and environmental benefits that the project will bring.

According to the director, authorities from both countries met on August 31st, 2016 to see the progress of the initiative.
