October 4, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The Judicial Investigation Organization is investigating a 38-year-old Jamaican citizen’s death. His last name was Charles and he died on Monday after being shot several times.

The incident occurred at 9:00 am outside a cafe located in Tres Ríos, where the victim apparently worked as a cook. Charles was about to open the place when at least 2 men arrived and shot him several times. The men men fled.

The Judiciary confirmed that the man was at the Semi institutional Care Center of Cartago, where he was serving a six-year-old sentence for violating the Psychotropics Law.
