Deputy Minister of MOPT resigns and goes to ARESEP

On October 11th Mauricio González, Deputy Minister of Public Works and Transport, confirmed he presented his resignation.

The official competed for an interim position in the Transport Administration in the Public Services Regulatory Authority (ARESEP).

González took office amid controversy and questioning following a complaint for an alleged lack of transparency in the selection process. From the opening day of the contest, his name circulated as the new Director of Transport Administration.

The former deputy minister confirmed he will take office in ARESEP from October 24th.
