Rural women will be celebrated this weekend

The International Day of Rural Women will be celebrated on October 15th and 16th, with activities in the central warehouse CoopeTarrazú in San Juan de San Marcos Tarrazú.

People will be able to visit the different stands from 8 a.m.

The official opening ceremony will be on Saturday at 9 a.m.

At 10:30 a.m. the Municipal Band Tarrazú will be presented.

The Women’s Coffee Alliance will present a special tribute to 30 rural women.

The “Leadership and Market” talk will start at 1 p.m., followed by the “Carbon Footprint Measurement” talk.

There is a barista’s duel scheduled at 3:30 p.m.

There are more lectures and cultural activities planned for Sunday, including a fair organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Women’s Coffee Alliance, CoopeTarrazú and the National Women’s Institute.
