Hydroponic marijuana producers will continue in custody

Four suspects of producing hydroponic marijuana will continue in custody for 3 more months while the investigation against the is still in progress.

The subjects installed laboratories in luxurious houses located in Escazú, Paseo Colón, Heredia and Pavas, in order to develop their activity. They are investigated for cultivating and selling marijuana.

During the raids, that took place in March, police seized 300 marijuana plants.

The investigation started in Cartago, where an alleged dealer sold marijuana produced by the accused men.

At that time, minister of Security Gustavo Mata confirmed that authorities found ‘crystal’ drug, which is an exotic drug in the market.

The houses were located in exclusive residential properties and they had three floors, where they had distributed the laboratory.
