February 28, 2017 by Staff News Writer

Officers from the Public Service Force (GAO) arrested a 15-year-old Canadian man who was carrying drugs, including synthetic drugs, for distribution. The event took place in Playa Hermosa de Uvita, Bahía Ballena of Osa district, south of the country.

Officials received reports of drug dealing by a teenager. After some surveillance, they found him in a tourist sector, where he was looking for potential clients.

It is a 15-year-old Canadian citizen who carried marijuana and 19 grams of cocaine.

This young man also had jars and doses of a synthetic drug known as “molly”. It is a variety similar to ecstasy, in the form of crystals, it is very dangerous as it can cause the consumer’s death.

The Public Force maintained preventive actions in various points of Playa Hermosa, where an international meeting of young people was held.

It is worth mentioning that this operation, which involves many people, is done for several years for these dates on that beach.

The adolescent was referred to the Juvenile Criminal Court.
