A commission approved the investigation report on bonus payments to Ana Gabriel Zúñiga

April 21, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The Public Revenue and Expenditure Commission unanimously approved the investigation report on the bonus payments to Vice Minister of the Presidency Ana Gabriel Zúñiga, and asked the President of the Republic and the Minister of the Presidency to remove her from her position.

In addition, they are demanding the return of the 30 million colones that Zúñiga received as payment of the 65% exclusive-dedication bonus, considering that she does not meet the requirements of being part of the Bar Association.

According to the legislators, it is unjustifiable that the official had made that mistake, that she had kept her job and that she had accepted the paymentwhen she was part of the commission.
