A heavy truck hit one of the boom barriers placed to avoid collisions with the train

January 26, 2017 by Staff News Writer

In an unusual event, a heavy truck hit one of the boom barriers placed to avoid collisions with the train in Heredia.

The “inauguration” of the barriers took place on January 25th in El Pirro crossing.

The installation of the devices was carried out by the Public Services Company of Heredia (ESPH), in order to avoid collisions with the railroad.

However, a truck already hit the barrier when the train was approaching.

Nothing happened to the system, it continues to operate normally,

informed ESPH through its spokesperson.
