A joke at the airport alarmed 5 police forces

November 11, 2016 by Staff News Writer

An emergency occurred on November 10th at Juan Santamaria airport, after a Spanish citizen, named Casal, said that he carried explosives in his luggage. For this reason, an Air Panama flight was stopped and a protocol was initiated, involving 5 police forces.

The plane was evacuated, the man investigated and the luggage meticulously checked. Minutes later Casal  indicated that it was only a “joke”.

The man responsible for such delay was not arrested, but the airline banned him from traveling with them again.
