A man allegedly kidnapped a girl

The security forces arrested a man suspected of kidnapping a one-year-old girl in Santa Cruz de Guanacaste.

In all started on Sunday early morning and according to the mother’s story, the man, who lived with her, took the girl and threatened to take her away from home. He threatened the woman with a machete and left.

Authorities started to look for the man and the girl for several nearby farms.

Hours later, authorities managed to find the suspect, a Nicaraguan citizen, who was in one of his brothers’ house. The girl was rescued and returned to her mother in good health.

The subject was arrested.
