A survey reveals Christiana Figueres is one of the favorites in the UN

A survey conducted by the firm Avaaz, places Hellen Clark, Antonio Guterres and Christiana Figueres as the favorites for the position of Secretary-General of the United Nations.

Figueres was ranked second  following the question: Who could be an interesting option for Secretary General? The survey covered nearly 1,000 UN employees, dozens of experts and took into consideration the opinion of the civil society.

They the ideal for the Secretary-General position is a person who wants consensus, a responsible and fair leader with good communication skills with both the civil society and UN members, someone who establishes an inspiring vision for the UN.

However, in a past ballot of the Security Council, Costa Rican candidate was placed at the bottom of the elections.
