Affordable ultrasounds

February 23, 2017 by Staff News Writer

An ultrasound is extremely helpful to detect some diseases. Therefore a campaign will offer this type of examination at a more affordable price.

On March 8th, Universidad Hispanoaméricana will perform ultrasounds on urinary tract, prostate, uterus and ovaries, thyroid, breast, testicles, knees, soft tissues or the abdomen in general.

The ultrasounds will be conducted from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the headquarters of the university, located in Aranjuez. For the campaign, the university will provide the facilities and the company Ultrasonidos Sancancio will provide the equipment and the radiologist that will use them. Those interested should make an appointment.

This is the third consecutive year we organize this campaign and we are only a link between Ultrasonidos Sancancio and the community. We provide the facilities and coordinate the schedule as there are limited appointments. The examinations will be carried out by Dr. Daniel Sayago Castro, specialist in radiology,”

said Yazlin Alvarado, coordinator of the Extension of Medicine and Surgery of the university.

The rate will be 25 thousand colones.

If you are interested, you can make an appointment or request more information at 2211-3000 extension 2244, Extension Department.
