Agricultural production in Limón will be greatly benefited

August 30, 2016 by Staff News Writer

The Ministry of Agriculture (MAG), through the National Agricultural Technology Institute (INTA), wants the agricultural production in Limón to be benefited with technological innovation.

As a result, they are investing 370 million colones to be used by more than 350 ranchers and farmers in the country, specially from the Atlantic area.

Sustainable livestock, environmentally friendly production, cross breeding cattle and the biological fight against stable fly are the projects promoted by the MAG.

These projects were explained by President of the Republic Luis Guillermo Solís during his visit to Los Diamantes Experimental Station, located in Guapiles.

We aim to enhance process innovation and job creation. We plan to continue improving infrastructure and technology transfers with agricultural standards of the highest level,

declared Solís.
