Air medical services were needed this week

5 patients required to be transferred through air medical services this week. They were a newborn, a 3-month baby, a 5-year-old girl and 2 pregnant women.

The three-month baby was transferred on Wednesday night. She had severe breathing problems which required taking her from Limón to San José, where she was referred to the Hospital Nacional de Niños (HNN).

The newborn was from Liberia. He was born prematurely and had to be transferred to the HHN.

The girl was a victim of a traffic accident. She was transferred to San José.

As for pregnant women, a 25-year-old woman presented complications and was transferred to Golfito. The second woman, who is 29 years old, was taken care in Quepos. She showed an early pregnancy.
