Amazing nature: Boa ate deer in Guanacaste

March 7, 2019 by Staff News Writer

A video captured the moment when a boa imperator chokes a young white-tailed deer in the area of Santa Rosa, Guanacaste.

According to the description of the fact,

due to its poor vision (the boa), it depends on its thermosensitive scales -labial skins- to detect its prey.”

They also explained that the reptile kills its prey by constricting it until they strangle it.

The video was recorded by Andrea Calvo and published on the Facebook profile of Guanacaste’s Conversation Area.
