Another call center will close operations in Costa Rica

June 3, 2019 by Staff News Writer

A new call center will close operations in the country in August. Spokespersons of the Costa Rican Coalition of Development Initiatives (Cinde), confirmed that Getinge, a company with Swedish capital, will no longer operate in Costa Rica.

The company will move its operations to Europe, to restructure its business model and, for now, it does not have the exact number of employees affected.

Getinge operated in the country since 2016.

On the other hand, Cinde confirmed that they’ll make an effort to relocate the dismissed workers in other companies.

The previous Wednesday, it was confirmed that Van Ru, another call center, closed operations and dismissed some 130 employees.
