Antonio Álvarez: “Figueres hid important information”

December 6, 2016 by Staff News Writer

Legislator and presidential candidate for Partido de Liberación Nacional (PLN) Antonio Álvarez accused José María Figueres of hiding important data from the latest survey conducted by CID-Gallup firm.

Álvarez assured that Figueres’ group informed about the study after eliminating the last two parts of the document.

It seems like a very serious deal because they are eliminating important information, such as 1 out of 3 Costa Ricans said that they would never vote for José María Figueres. However, in my case, there is virtually no mention of any opposition,

declared Álvarez.

He stated that in the case of elections, the “Figuerism” did not inform that if there were an open convention, the result would be 31-20 in

Álvarez’ favor, and if in the convention there are people who are determined to vote, the result would be 40 to 38, also in his favor.

Álvarez declared that he obtained the information from the complete CID-Gallup survey, which was published on its website on December 5th.
