ARESEP requested to start an administrative process against Grettel López

January 25, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The Governing Council received a request from the Public Services Regulatory Authority (ARESEP) to start an ordinary administrative process against assistant regulator Grettel López.

Minister of the Presidency Sergio Alfaro did not offer more details on the matter, assuring that a decision hadn’t been made and they would study the case in the following session.

We received a document in that regard, but the decision was not firm,

declared the official.

The process apparently started due to an internal administrative situation that took place years ago during Dennis Meléndez’ management. However, due to ARESEP legislation, the Governing Council is the one that must make the decision.

When that happens, details will be released, but authorities at the Presidential House prefer to be cautious, because it is not a matter of corruption.
