Ashes in Toro Amarillo river

As consequence of Turrialba’s volcanic activity, ashes were reported in Toro Amarillo riverbed.

Volcanologist Gino González informed that that he witnessed the fact and he calculates that headwaters reached 2 meters high.

The phenomenon occurred at about 6 pm, but so far, it hasn’t affected the population. However, González confirmed an increase in the acidity of the water.

Turrialba’s volcanic activity has increased since Monday.
