Assault caused service suspension to tourists in Tenorio Volcano

An assault on the facilities of the Tenorio Volcano National Park forced temporary suspension of services to tourists, reported the National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC).

The events occurred on Tuesday night. However, the entity did not specify on the stolen items and the economic damage.

SINAC reported that the events are under the investigation of the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ).

We are trying to ensure that once the preliminary investigations are completed at the scene, normal services for visitors can be restored,”

explained the agency.

The National Park authorities asked visitors not to carry high-value items or high cash figures.
