Attack on foreign woman in Liberia is being investigated

October 22, 2017 by Staff News Writer

A Nicaraguan woman named Sandino was wounded in her neck and hands, apparently by her partner.

The events occurred at about 1:20 a.m. this Saturday in La Guaria de Liberia.

According to the preliminary report of the authorities, the locals heard the woman ask for help and at that moment they saw a man leaving home.

Officials of the Public Force went to the scene and found the 27-year-old woman injured with a knife.

Agents of the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ), from the Regional Delegation of Liberia, investigate the circumstances of the case.

The woman remains hospitalized in the Liberia hospital, where she was transferred by Red Cross personnel in a delicate condition.
