The Ministry of Health warned about “biological enzymes” that are being used in clinics and aesthetic centers to remove body fat, but the product is not authorized. According to the health alert, this product is being promoted in social networks and injected into people, which is not allowed because it is only for cosmetic use.
Currently, according to the complaint filed in this Directorate and with the investigation carried out, it has been determined that the majority of places where the application of this type of products is promoted to remove fat and shape the figure, use the PB Serum brand products, which only have a cosmetic health registration. However, intra-dermal use is not authorized by this Ministry,”
said the entity.
The Ministry of Health explained that no product that qualifies as cosmetic can be administered in another way that is not topical.
It is important that all those people who use those products understand they expose themselves to serious risks, since there is no certainty regarding the conditions under which they have been manufactured and their processes of sterility in manufacturing and packaging processes.
The people or companies that are promoting them also expose themselves to various administrative and even criminal sanctions.
