Authorities are looking for missing surfist

At around 10:25 am on Thursday an aquatic accident was reported in Playa Negra in Santa Cruz de Guanacaste. A surfist who was practicing the sport in the morning went missing.

The last time witnesses saw the man he was offshore, so they reported the case to the Red Cross authorities.

At this moment, the search operation is carried out by the Costa Rican Red Cross and the Coast Guard.

Details about the identity of the victim are still unknown.
