Authorities handle a hostage situation in a house in Grecia. The Minister of Security, Gustavo Mata, indicated that several subjects would have entered a house in San José neighborhood in the center of this canton in Alajuela.

The Public Force was alerted immediately and arrived at the scene, but the men are kept locked in the residence.

Mata said that the Judicial Investigation Agency negotiated with the subjects.

The hierarch did not detail how many people or families are being held hostage by the subjects.
