Authorities report decrease in road deaths

According to authorities, February 2019 had one of the lowest road mortality rates in the last four months.

Data from the Traffic Police show there were 30 deaths at the accident site, two less than in January. The last time there were less than 30 dead was last October with a total of 28 deaths.

One of the most critical months was January 2019, with 50 road deaths. Between January and February 2019, 62 deaths were reported, 32 of them were motorcyclists; hence, the traffic authorities insist on driving with caution and included a complete chapter on motorcycles in the Driver’s Manual.
