Banco Nacional is not asking for information by phone

February 20, 2019 by Staff News Writer

If alleged officials of the National Bank call you and ask for some information about your account, do not respond! The bank warns its customers about phone scams. Criminals request sensitive information and then hurt your finances.

The National Bank is not carrying out this campaign. We never ask for sensitive information about the accounts or cards of our clients. Thank you for staying alert to these attempts of scams,”

said the bank.

According to some complaints, the alleged employee calls from a private number and requests the token data to supposedly complete a new client account number.

Take into account that:
1. The bank or its officials will never request by phone or email: tokens, passwords, account numbers or pins.
2. No bank official can request money for any procedure.
3. If you have any questions about consultations or services, call 2212-2000.
