William Allen Hospital, in Turrialba, clarified that it is not looking for patients’ care assistants as published on several social networks.
Doctor Olga Álvarez, director of the hospital, explained that they only publish job offers on human resources’ official website.
In addition, Álvarez said that this fake job offer has saturated the hospital’s telephone switchboard because people have been calling to ask for information.
This situation is not unique. Authorities are calling on the population because there are similar cases in other hospitals such as México’s hospital, Alajuela’s hospital and Calderón Guardia’s hospital, none of which are offering a job.
