Blackboud Trasnational to operate in the country

Blackbaud, a multinational company that develops software for the cloud, announced on Monday that it chose Costa Rica to install its first digital technology center in Latin America.

The company serves customers in 50 countries and maintains rapid growth in the world making this new center its most recent expansion announcement.

For the first phase of hiring, the company seeks to fill positions related to computer engineering, software implementation and technical support, among others.

Blackbaud’s vision is to promote an ecosystem of services that allow us to improve the world and to achieve this, we need a group of talented people who want to join our team,”

said Althaf Sheriff, director of Blackbaud for Costa Rica. Those interested in applying for a position within the company can do so at the email address CRRecruitment@blackbaud.com .

According to data from the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the services sector has reached over 40% of exports and has consolidated as a strong driver of development. At the end of 2017, the Costa Rican service sector grouped a total of 157 companies.

Blackbaud serves nonprofit organizations, foundations, corporations, educational institutions, health care institutions, and individual change agents. In 2017, it reported earnings of $ 426 million.
