Bridge over Virilla River will close at 10:30 p.m.

January 4, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The bridge over Virilla River in the General Cañas road will be closed at 10:30 p.m. and not at 10:00 p.m. as it was originally scheduled.

The measure is taken to facilitate the return of people who go to the 90-minute ‘match for life’ that will be developed in the National Stadium.

The Transit Police will close the bridge Juan Pablo II at 10:30 pm in the direction San José-Alajuela until 5 a.m. on January 5th. During this period the crews will assemble the beams for the extension of the bridge.

Those who have to travel to the province of Alajuela, must take alternate routes. The Transit Police recommends using route 27 or route 3 by the sector of the Pozuelo cookie factory to continue to Jardines del Recuerdo and return to General Cañas near Colegio Castella.
