Brutality of recent crimes confirms evolution of violence, according to OIJ

According to Francisco Segura, director of the Judicial Investigative Police (OIJ) there now exists a total total disregard for human life among the criminal element in Costa Rica. He cited the shooting of a pregnant women in the stomach during a recent robbery and the trend toward multiple gunshot wounds among victims.
