Care networks will not work on Thursday and Friday

The Government announced that daycare networks will not work during the holiday issued by president Luis Guillermo Solís for Thursday and Friday, as Hurricane Otto is present on the national territory.

According to the president, the holiday does not include emergency and national health response bodies.

In addition, in a press conference, the Costa Rican Social Security Fund indicated that the appointments in the national health centers will remain in the cantons that have yellow alert, while in the zones with red alert the appointments are suspended.

The cantons with red alert are: Montes de Oro, Esparza, San Mateo Orotina, Puntarenas, Garabito, Quepos, Pérez Zeledón Osa, Golfito, Corredores and Coto Brus, Grecia Valverde Vega, San Ramón and Naranjo.

San Carlos, Upala, Los Chiles, Guatuso, La Cruz de Guanacaste, Sarapiqui, Rio Cuarto de Grecia, Pacuare, Parismina, Barra del Colorado, Tortuguero Bar, Puerto Lindo and Delta Costa Rica are also risk areas.

On the other hand, the Minister of the Presidency, Sergio Alfaro, said that the possibility of allocating funds for the National Commission of Emergencies (CNE) is being discussed with the Ministry of Finance and the Legislative Assembly.
